Welcome to Ross County Christian Academy! Also known as RCCA, our school was founded in 2007 through the work of two retired school administrators, Jake Grooms and Mike MacCarter. The initial vision was to have a school with the Christian faith integrated into all aspects of the education and to be an option for families in Ross County. This continues to be the main focus of the school as reflected in the school’s mission statement.

Our Mission

The mission of Ross County Christian Academy is to provide an excellent educational program for each child in a creative, challenging, and Christ-centered environment.

Our Vision

Ross County Christian Academy, in partnership with families and like-minded community partners, provides academically excellent, Christ-centered, authentic learning where students thrive and discover God’s purpose and value for their lives. RCCA prepares students to navigate the complexities of our rapidly changing world with wisdom, discernment, and a heart for servant leadership using the Word, worship and prayer.

While the school is not affiliated with any one church, the school has the endorsement of 22 Ross County churches. RCCA is the only nondenominational Christian school in Ross County. When the doors opened in September 2007, 23 students were enrolled. That number has seen steady growth to 489 students in our 16 years of operation. The school is fully chartered, preschool through 12th grade, by the Ohio Department of Education. The school currently serves children ages Preschool (3 and 4 year olds) through High School, 12th grade. Some Special Education services are now available. For financial assistance for tuition or special education, please call the school for more information at 740-772-4532.
